IDEAS
What are not allowed in the theater? PHONES!
Why are they not allowed? It disturbs OTHER audiences.
How do they disturb others? LIGHT, sound, vibration, etc.
Instead what is allowed in the theater? SNACKS!
01 YUM, YUM, HUH?
Snacks are the beauty of the theater.
Hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, coke, popcorn...
Oops, that’s not a snack!

02 POP OFF THE PHONE
You're secretly texting during the movie.
... But are you really?
Hey, I can barely see the screen!

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Characters in simple fill shapes and adding detail with strokes. Outer glow effects help to convey the idea of 'light'.
SHAPE LANGUAGE
Protagonist: Square with ROUNDED edges / Antagonist: Triangle with SHARPEN edges
COLOR TREATMENT
Blue and yellow as COMPLEMENTARY colors.
Red for the mood of the theater. Black and white to help balance the light and dark.
BACKGROUND REFINEMENT
The character is placed in a dark screen where a single light from the antagonist disturbs the protagonist. Considering depth, perspective and additional characters were added to the seats in a row.

ANIMATION DEVELOPMENT
Simple and repetitive animation to build and convey the story of disturbance.
ARM MOVEMENT
To make the movement feel more aggressive, eases, motion blur, and overlap were added throughout progress.

ADDITIONAL ANIMATION
Reaction of the pupils, interacting elements such as popcorn and text bubbles were added. Finessed animation to be expressive, and added additional elements to connect the design.
